I’ve got a really cool guest post for you this week from Fit Body Boot Camp power-house Josh Carter in West Hills, Ca.
When I originally read this post featured on Josh’s blog GetTwiceTheResults.com I smiled and remembered the first time I heard the story he told. I was at T Harv Eker’s Guerilla Business School and it smacked me across the face because it made a lot of sense then and sure as hell makes a ton of sense now.
Thanks for re-smacking me Josh, and for my clients and followers drop your hands and let the smack come at you because this is good stuff.
Be The Pig
There are many things is life that can be reduced to either fiction or fact.
Here is an example of fiction: It is too late for you to change your body and your health because you are (pick any) too old, too tired, too busy, too many kids, work weird hours, too much of a giant wuss etc.
But here is a truth: Nothing is more powerful than the human mind. If you believe it, you can make it happen. I have seen it more times than I can count.
And to that end I say be the pig.
Not be “A” pig, be “THE” pig.
You see, in the standard breakfast of bacon and eggs (mmm, bacon…), the chicken was involved but the pig was committed.
In fact, the pig was damn committed.
And that is EXACTLY how you should not only attack your fat loss and health goals, but how you should attack life itself:
With unwavering, steadfast and unshakeable commitment.
Make a decision and stick to it. Let nothing and no one stand in your way.
In my 20 years experience in working with people who want to make a change in their lives I have found that one simple concept (commitment, for those not paying attention) separates those who achieve their goals and those who do not.
Those who fail will always find an excuse (it’s too hard, it takes too long, it costs too much, I’m too busy…)
Those who succeed always find a way.
So are you a chicken? Or are you the pig?
And with that there is only one appropriate way to sign off…
